Stardust

The boy ran through the forest, jumping over the large tree roots.

With each step, he had to watch that he didn’t crack his head on an overhanging branch.

The boy was nimble, so he didn’t have a misstep and he made running a fast exercise.

The trail was worn, so that helped him.

Finally, he had to stop to catch his breath. He bent forward at the waist and placed his hands on his knees and spent several minutes gulping air.

He walked at an easy pace, hoping the lactic acid would leave his legs soon so they would quit being so rubbery. …

The Trump Legacy: The Crimes and damage he will leave behind.

We know that Presidents are excused from the crimes they committed while in office.

Trump is different.

He committed crimes before he took office. This was with New York Mobsters. But that is another story already widely told.

I am more interested in the actual damage he has done to the United States of America.

I have taken the title from an article in Veterans Today (VT)

I wrote about the “Russian Laundromat” in [Dollars on the Danube]) published on November 2, 2020. This story tells the story of Russia underwriting the $1 billion that Trump used to buy the Doral Golf Course in addition to his 2016 Election to the Presidency of the United States of America. …

The Alluring Rose will Conquer Your Soul — Part 1

This is the first installment.

We lived in a traditional 2-story house with a small yard (50”x150”).

Our cold climate limited roses to those that could survive the bitter winters — as in Proctor Minnesota. However, in my experience the big killer was springtime.

I was trying to grow varieties of hybrid tea roses as they do in the spectacular Rose Garden in Duluth MN just about 15 minutes drive on the Interstate.

I prepared a mound that would be of a size to plant about 18 roses. …

A Prayer that I use that was edited by Father Carl Arico

PRAYER OF ABANDONMENT

Father

I abandon myself into your hands

do with me what you will.

Whatever you may do, I thank you;

I am ready for all, I accept all.

Let only your will be done in me,

and in all your creatures;

I wish no more than this, O Lord.

Into your hands I commend my soul;

I offer it to you with all my…

But what brought it on?

I woke with a start. My head laying on my keyboard.

This rant was on the monitor.

What in the world brought it on?

Maybe the wisdom tooth that broke. I have to make an appointment with a dentist I have never used.

Maybe that’s OK because I am having him pull my 13 bottom teeth and fit a denture. I booked my August.

Expecting the pain? The blood coagulating in my mouth? Hmm.

Maybe it is the denial of coverage from the insurance company for my last stay in the hospital. Are they getting back at me for canceling my policy? …

Goodness. Morning!

I have tried to finish a few stories before posting anything, but I can’t hold my anger any longer.

We have seen, again & again, the republican party commits suicide.

But since it has not held him to account, I suspect we will also ignore my thoughts.

One thing we do know when people raise their voices, the politicians listen.

Thanks for stopping.

You just give it up. Quit trying to find 10,000 votes here or there.

You don’t have a chance anymore.

You don’t even have to concede.

Just recall your henchmen from their appointed rounds.

I can’t wait to have a steady hand on the helm instead of your chaotic wackiness.

Maybe we will start the function again instead of your shaky personality at the command center.

You caused me such angst over the last four years (& my body is not appreciating having to go under the knife today that I am going to let you have my fist right in your nose. …

Reminds me of the Celebratory Crowds after the Election

@Mukundarajan V N

I am taken by your article on empathy.

I have been there twice in the last 3 three days.

I was having a familiar pain in my shoulders and heart. It followed a milder one 5 or 6 days earlier.

I decided I had better go to the emergency room. They ran the normal tests.

The next morning, I had an intense discussion with the hospitalist who has counseled me in the past.

I arrived at that point in the Intensive Care Unit (obviously; I did not understand my surroundings yet). I was being shocked by a defibrillator at 200 joules. I rose and asked how powerful that one was. They said 200 joules. I demanded that they use only 100 next time. …
