I wish I could write for Writer’s Cooperative but I don’t do drafts on Medium or my publication. But I sure wish you write for my publication “Finite Wisdom”.
But here is some help to pass on to your readers if you would like. I found this a few weeks ago.
It is called “Headline Analyzer” from CoSchedule. So far it is free. You type in your headline and the app scores it: common words, uncommon words, emotional words, power words. It shows the words by category as a %. It also sends you a worksheet to keep track of your headlines. It also tells you how many characters you used and how many words. Hopefully, you will find a use for it.
You also get… a page or two of Words, power words emotion words. I put them in an Excel spreadsheet so I could alphabetize them and see each one better. A column for each letter of the alphabet.
Oh, you have room left over in each column? I found thousands of more words on a line. One teacher I am fond of writes “Enchanted Marketing” she is in England I think.
You can find thousands of more words online. I am still testing to see if more is better.
